No more iced coffee…

This might have been a sign that I shouldn’t go get a sugar-filled iced coffee drink after going to the gym, but who knows?  So I go to the JBK after the gym to check my mail, and I order an iced caramel machiatto, because I love them.  And what does the girl tell me?  Her manager told her that they can’t make iced coffee drinks anymore.  What?!  Oh well, I guess I’ll just get a hot caramel machiatto, and then a cup of ice…and just ice it myself.

In other news, Mitt Romney is out of the race.  Who would have thought that would happen?  Many people, actually, but who is counting?  Ron Paul, however, is a trooper!  He’s still in the race, even with only like….5 delegates to his name.  But that’s quite alright.  John McCain has nearly 700 delegates, and Huckabee (number 2 in delegates) has like 150 or something.  That’s a tough one.

I can think of a couple of reasons why guys like Ron Paul and Mike Gravel are still in the race.  These are just my opinions, though.  First of all, each of them is taking a major stand.  This campaign this year is about a lot of firsts…first woman, first black man, oldest president, etc.  What sets these two gentlemen apart is that they stray from the party lines.  Ron Paul is a very practical man, who draws his every answer from the Constitution.  He calls himself a libertarian.  But he knows better than to run as a libertarian.  I honestly do not know much about Mike Gravel.  I feel bad for him because the media doesn’t shine on him  like it does Hillary and Barack.  But he calls himself a progressive Democrat.  Hillary says that too, though.  Second reason they’re still in the race…money.  If either of them was out of money, they would have dropped out already.  That’s what happened to John McCain the last time he ran.  So the bottom line is I don’t think we’ve seen the last of these two guys.  They’re going to keep running until they cannot run anymore.

Have you ever noticed?

How slowly February moves?  Seriously, it seems like yesterday it was the 5th, but oh wait…it was!  February is such a short month, but it goes by more slowly than any other month.  I’ll never understand it.

Anyway, as my first post I thought I should do something profound.  Even if just remotely profound.  But I have nothing.  So instead I will give you a brief synopsis of my thoughts right now.  And by “brief”, I mean “could be long”.

My classes:
Currently I like my classes.  My stats class is great. I love math!  I love my Spanish class.  I just love the Spanish language.  The more I learn of a new language, the less I like English.  Strange, huh?  English is such a difficult language.  When you start learning other ones, you realize how much other languages make sense.  Seriously.  Go take a foreign language.  My Constitutional Development class…oh what can I say?  It is quite possibly the most interesting class I’m taking.  I love that stuff.  However, I’m not a law student, and I never intend to be.  So the class itself (not the information learned) makes me crazy.  Maybe it’ll get better.  My other classes aren’t bad, but they aren’t worth mentioning either.

The election:
Note to all who read:  You will hear me talk about this subject a lot.  I love politics and I am quite sure that I’m obsessed with this election.  I honestly think that if anyone doubted John McCain’s ability to make it to the top, there is no doubt now.  Super Tuesday did a lot for him.  The numbers were pretty crazy, though.  America seems to be undecided.  It’s okay thought….there’s plenty of time.  Maybe now, Texas’ primary will make a difference.  We can always hope.  As for the Democrats, America seems torn.  I mean, the Republican race is pretty much favoring McCain, while the Democratic race is favoring no one.  There is no clear front-runner and it’s kind of bothersome.  I cannot wait until November. :) Seriously, if you aren’t registered to vote, do it!  Your voice makes a difference!

As a sidenote, remember that Mike Gravel is still in the race.  A few people here and there are voting for him, but I think more people would have voted for him if he had gotten as much media attention as Obama and Clinton.  Oh well.

Anyway, that is all for now.  More profoundness later.
